Thread: The "You-were-quoted-notification"

Well, I am thinking since some time of this and I think it could be useful. So here is the deal.
When you want to reply to somebody and want him to know, that you reply on exactly his post and not to anyone else. There is the very useful "Reply With Quote"-button. Which is a very good thing. My only problem is, that you always have to look through the thread(s), if somebody has replied to you. And sometimes you may just forget about what/that you have written and you are never able to read if somebody replied to your comment. Since this is quite sad in my opinion, cause the one who may asked you sth, may never get his answers.
So my idea would be, if it would be possible, that when you get quoted, so somebody clicked on the "Reply With Quote"-button below your post, you get automaticly a Notification, from the side. I just thought it could be simply integrated into the system. Means: a click on the "Reply With Quote"-button, brings automaticly a Notification to the quoted user with it.
I have no idea if sth like this is realizable in practice, or if it will always remain only theoretic, but I am interested in the answer
